ToolPolaris participates in affiliate programs run by software companies and networks. When you click a link on this site and sign up for a paid product, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.
Some of the links on ToolPolaris are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase or sign up for a subscription, ToolPolaris earns a percentage of the sale as a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid if you went directly to the vendor.
They don’t. Our rankings are based on editorial criteria: output quality, workflow fit, price-to-value ratio, reliability, and transparency. A tool does not earn a higher ranking by offering us a higher commission rate, and a tool does not get excluded because it has no affiliate programme.
We have a financial incentive to be accurate. If we recommend a bad tool to earn a commission, readers stop trusting us — and without trust, the business fails. Long-term revenue depends on editorial integrity, not short-term commission maximisation.
Occasionally, tool companies pay for clearly-labelled “Featured” or “Sponsored” placements on ToolPolaris. This is separate from affiliate commissions and is always disclosed with a visible “Sponsored” label. Sponsored placements do not affect editorial rankings.
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255). We disclose material connections to the products and services we recommend.
If you have questions about our affiliate relationships or how we evaluate tools, contact us. We’re happy to explain our process for any specific recommendation.
